Bush Kids Child Care & Early Education

The Brief

Bush Kids, a growing early learning and childcare provider in Western Australia, approached PWD to modernise their online presence and support their expansion into new locations, including Australind, Busselton, Bunbury, Eaton, and Millbridge.

Their previous website was outdated, difficult to navigate, and underperforming in search visibility. As the organisation opened new centres, it became crucial to attract more families and increase enrolment enquiries through a strong digital platform.

At Bush Kids, the mission is clear:

“We understand that choosing the right childcare is one of the most important decisions parents make. Our nurturing environment is designed to foster creativity, curiosity, and growth in every child.”

PWD’s objective was to design and develop a modern, SEO-optimised website that not only showcased Bush Kids’ warmth and values but also became a key driver of enquiries, enrolments, and brand growth.

The Challenge

When PWD began working with Bush Kids, several challenges were evident:

  • Outdated website: The existing site lacked modern functionality, visual appeal, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Low SEO performance: Limited visibility in search engines hindered Bush Kids’ ability to reach new families online.
  • Brand expansion needs: With multiple new centres opening, the website required scalability and a unified visual identity to strengthen brand presence across all locations.

The Strategy

PWD delivered a comprehensive digital strategy that combined website strategy, conversion optimisation, design, development, photography, videography, and PR to create a high-performing platform supporting both user engagement and business growth.

Maximising Google Presence
  • A core focus was to dominate Google listings and capture as much real estate as possible on the first page of search results. Bush Kids achieved visibility across multiple placements, including:
  • A Google Ad at the top
  • A Map Ad
  • A Google Maps organic listing
  • A standard organic listing
  • And often, a second Google Ad at the bottom
User Engagement & Experience

The website was restructured to simplify navigation and highlight what parents care about most: programs, locations, and enrolment details. The design featured clear pathways, warm imagery, and a community-centred tone that reflected Bush Kids’ nurturing values.

Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO)

PWD redesigned enquiry pathways to improve conversion rates. Forms were simplified, calls-to-action were strategically placed, and enquiry flows were streamlined to encourage more enrolments.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

The new website was rebuilt with a strong technical SEO foundation, including optimised metadata, faster load speeds, mobile responsiveness, and keyword-rich content. This enabled Bush Kids to rank highly for valuable local terms such as “childcare Bunbury”.

Authentic Storytelling Through Visuals

PWD’s photography and videography teams captured real educators, children, and centres, bringing authenticity and emotion to the brand. The visual storytelling reinforced Bush Kids’ commitment to care, quality, and community.

Advertising & PR Support

Following the website launch, targeted retargeting and Meta campaigns were introduced to re-engage visitors and boost brand awareness across regional Western Australia. These campaigns featured the owner speaking directly to families, showcasing the centres and staff to build trust and familiarity.

Additionally, PWD implemented PR outreach to extend Bush Kids’ exposure. Coverage was distributed across 493 individual PR pages, reaching a combined estimated audience of 143,276,183 monthly visits, amplifying brand visibility at scale.
